...i'm living it up at the Hilton!

So Erin and I are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in Twinsburg with big sister and brother-in-law. Rino's cousin, Kimmi, got married yesterday so my sister asked originally if Chris and I wanted to come and watch Tony partially at night and then just hang out in a free hotel room. Chris decided to be a loser and "couldn't come" so I called my hero, Erin, and she came with me. It's been awesome. We went shopping in Macedonia and hit up dinner at Damon's right in front of the hotel. Then once Missy came and got T-Bone so he could dance for a couple hours at the reception we hit the Jacuzzi and pool. Finally we ended our evening watching War of the Worlds and just hanging out. It was cool to hang out with Tony and he had a lot of fun. It was even nicer to be able to just relax right before I start my new job on Tuesday.

Yeah....BTW, got a new job! Okay, not exactly "new" but a new job at my old job if that makes sense. I've been working for the YMCA in Vermilion just about forever it seems (3 years). I just finished spending one of the best summers ever doing a new summer camp program where we went on field trips 4 days a week and had mini-camps (like football, painting, fishing, etc) every morning. It was an awesome summer and I got to work with Missy and Kevin (I meant I got to pick on Kevin!). In any event it was a fun summer! But once summer ended I was just kind of stuck because usually at the end of August I am getting ready to go back to school. Since I graduated this May I was looking desperately for a job and was basically getting jack out of the search. So I met with my director and she offered me a head teacher position with a pay raise and benefits and all that fun stuff. So I definitely took it as a "until I get a teaching position" kind of thing but I am loving it so for. I am with the "babies" of our building. They range from 18 monthes to 2 1/2 years and they are adorable. It's a huge difference from being with the school-agers all summer but I am really loving it so far and I have far less stress compared to chasing 36 big kids around Northeast Ohio.

In any event, all's going well and looking good right now so not much I can complain about. Enjoying the long weekend and going to go home and celebrate Chris' birthday tonight (the big 2-2!) For now I'm gonna run and take a shower and get myself put together so we can all head down to breakfast in a bit! Later!
